Googleはよりセマンティックな領域に進もうとしているらしい

Web2.0でGoogleの"Director of Search Quality"（←これ、なんて訳したらいいんだろ。検索品質責任者？）をつとめるPeter Norvig氏がそう言ったとのこと。
He said that these development were focused on “understanding the meaning” of search. He admitted that Google needed to go beyond “just keywords and linking structures of the web".
方向性としては当然というか妥当というかそんな感じだとおもうんですが、googleの偉い人が言うと相応の重みがあるような気がします。『Search Engine Lowdown』に掲載されている元記事が非常におもしろいので、興味のある人はぜひ原文に当たってください。
